Policy: Board Performance Evaluation

The Board shall evaluate its own performance and effectiveness based on established criteria. The evaluation shall focus on the Board as a whole not on individual members.

Procedure

  1. This evaluation shall occur annually
  2. Evaluation forms will be distributed to all Board and Committee members for completion
  3. A facilitator will review completed evaluation forms and a consolidated report will be brought forward to the Board
  4. The results of the evaluation will be reviewed at an annual Board retreat, guided by an external facilitator.
