January	January 19 The CVH takes delivery of Optical Disc Storage System for medical records.
June	June 27 First set of triplets, Paul, Isabelle and Cole Azevedo, are born at the CVH. June "The Adventures of Ruffus & Andy - Breathless" - receives First Place in Hygeia Awards, Film/Electronic Production - General Category, presented by Health Care Public Relations Association.
August	Diagnostic Imaging Department installs a Phillips Multidiagnost III Unit, the first of its kind in North America.
December	Dr. Douglas Henshaw, Chairman of the Board, Canadian Council on Health Facilities, presents Four Year Accreditation With Distinction Award to THE CVH at Official Award Presentation and Reception. International Questar Awards Competition - Finalist - For "Emergency Codes".
